About Me
My name is Micah R Cotton. I am 22 years old and am from Foley, Alabama. My birthday is February 20, 1990. I am a biology education major and want to coach high school football. I attended Foley High School, and after graduation I attended Louisiana College were I played football. After my senior year of football I decided to transfer to the University of South Alabama. This is my first semester attending south and so far it is going good. I am currently volunteer coaching at Foley High School and I am very thankful for that opportunity.
My hobbies include working out, hunting, fishing, swimming and hanging out with my family. I am definitely a people person and I like to push myself to be the best I can be. I love it when people tell me I can't do something because that gives me even more motivation to work hard and achieve my goals. I am not one to give up, put my head down, and walk away. The word quit is not in my dictionary. One of my favorite quotes is by Bill Parcells witch states "Blame nobody. Expect nothing. Do something."
Randy Pausch On Time Management
This video is very true, and I can relate to what he is saying because my freshman year of college was very difficult for me. I had a lot on my plate such as football, school, work, and it was my first time living on my own. To top it all off, I had bad time management skills that reflected on my grades. One of the things that interested me the most about the video is when he said "you should ask why is something on your list of goals". I stopped and thought about it and said to myself "why is my education one of my goals". Well because I want to succeed and be successful and gain knowledge. There were a couple of other things that stuck out to me, but especially when he talked about breaking things down into small parts. That is so true. Breaking things down into small steps allows you to get them done with less stress, and it allows you to learn the subject more thoroughly. No matter what it is, school or even relating back to sports, it could help you learn the play book more easily instead of trying to cram it all in at once. Over all this video was very helpful to me, and I think every student should watch it.
